Hello to all of our PDT Platypus® Ortho Flosser Dealer Partners!

I hope this note finds you all healthy and doing well. 

Fred Van de Perre and I co-founded PDT, Inc. -- Paradise Dental Technologies -- in 2000, and A Better Way of Life, Inc. (ABWOL), dba Platypus Co., in 2008.

It is a time of change for both companies as we finalize our dissolution.  I will continue to focus on dental hand instruments, cassettes and sharpening, as I have done for thirty years… while Fred will concentrate his professional efforts on the Platypus® Ortho Flosser, of which he was the lead developer.  We have agreed to split the product lines between two separate companies, and each of us will have the freedom to pursue our individual interests if all goes as planned October 4th in court.

I will retain majority ownership of PDT, and Dennis McCloskey, PDT’s Controller, will become a partner in PDT.  Paradise Dental Technologies will continue to focus on providing the finest dental instrumentation, sharpening kits and instrument cassettes in the world!  The same great team of people will continue to manufacture these products, and offer the same outstanding service to our customers.  We will be able to concentrate on design and development, and will continue pushing the boundaries with innovative products and exciting new marketing ideas.  There is no limit to what we can do together!

Fred van de Perre  – after the expected transition date of December 4, 2011 – will own all rights to the Platypus® Ortho Flosser as well as A Better Way of Life, Inc. dba PlatypusCo.

The Platypus® Ortho Flosser is without a doubt the best ortho flosser available to patients and orthodontic specialists.  Designed and recommended by hygienists, this has been a uniquely successful product.  Improved manufacturing techniques, mold changes, and the introduction of superior floss material combine to take the Platypus® Ortho Flosser to a whole new level.  Laura Morgan, RDH, and Fred also have some innovative ideas for new products to reach the consumer as well as the dental professional.

This company has no limit to its potential, and as expected, Fred is sticking with his made in America philosophy as well.
