PDT Sharpening Program
You will receive a confirmation email shortly after placing your order with next step information as well as your choice of a printable shipping label, or a downloadable blank label. If you haven’t received this email, please be sure to check in your junk/spam mail folder as it does come from a “noreply” prefix. Shipping labels are generated manually in our office; we will get them to you in as timely a manner as we can.

Please note that in the event of extreme weather conditions or regional proximity from our sharpening facility, your order may take up to 2-3 weeks to be fulfilled.
PDT reserves the right to return to you – without processing – any instruments deemed to be
improperly cleaned, sterilized or otherwise potentially hazardous.
Details:
Not restricted to only PDT instruments. Only applies to stainless steel tipped scalers, curettes, and explorers. Anything outside of scalers, curettes, and explorers, including but not limited to titanium instruments, O’Hehirs, carvers, or periotomes, may be sharpened for an individual fee. Must ship at least 10 instruments in each sharpening shipment. A PDT Resharpening membership is valid for one year from the date of program enrollment and payment verification or until the instrument enrollment amount is reached, whichever comes first. Any instrument that has been modified, misused, retipped, or tampered with will be rejected.
Shipping Details:
PDT will ship using the most cost-effective option available. Most times, this will be priority mail, so please expect 2-4 days for delivery after leaving our facility. Your shipment will arrive with your regular postal deliveries except in the case of expedited shipments, which will be available via UPS, at your office’s expense. Allow 3 business days for sharpening, excluding holidays. Allow an extra business day for shipments of more than 100 instruments. All PDT offices are closed Friday-Sunday, so planning your turn around time for this is highly recommended.
Available only within the United States and US territories. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories requires an additional shipping charge. If an instrument is unable to be sharpened for any reason it will be assessed for warranty coverage and replaced at no charge if covered by the warranty. See details about our warranty program here. For the replacement of any instruments not covered by warranty, PDT will contact you about your replacement options, either by phone or email. Instruments not able to be resharpened will not count towards your membership plan. Instruments that need to be replaced may be recycled through PDT’s EarthCare program, for every 12 recycled you will receive one PDT instrument at no charge.
